Imperfection

The title itself is sufficient but I would as usual elaborate the events which led me here. So I was watching this wonderful Korean movie- "My girl and I". Its one of the finest romantic flick I have ever seen. I thought Koreans were only good at VLSI and Nuclear bombs but I was wrong. They do have a fine understanding of culture, music, art and most importantly human feelings.
I was truly moved by the movie and it lead me to think how everything just works out perfectly well at the end. My hopes however were not kept high for long. Its a funny thing that more we want things to be in order more we mess them up. Our teachers night celebration- A nice example of the same. Following are a few details of it:
Designated time: 07.00PM
Faculties arrived:07.00PM
Started on :07.55PM

Normally lights are in place at the time of the start of the show but at our DAIICT we somehow managed the projector to handle the lights till the halfway of the ceremony. Then some how people with halogens appeared and all of a sudden there was a big bang. Not only the stage but the audience were too got flashed with lights. Meanwhile our very own junior tried himself with a song from movie "barssat". The problem was he cant get it right the first time so he decided to sing it once again leaving it half sung. I must say he did reached some of the notes the second time.
How could I forget the south Indian sensational VAMSI who instead of flashes from halogen enjoyed his moments of glory in Green sheds of a "Happy Teachers Day" wallpaper. He too coughed out some of his moves a little earlier the song started, but after a few tries he somehow managed to dance with the song. My friends said he used to repeat the steps; I pointed out that atleast he keeps one new song everytime in his dance number (but their point was still valid).
After we were done with the amazing duo, it was time time for the rock stars to rock on. For the time in my college I saw girls joining the rockbands. One more step to the light. First it was very own Miss Anushree and later Miss Harshita. Though they were shy they made a mark. Enough with girls, I want to point my fame to a dear friend and wonderful singer "The Gaddh". The only problem with his song was that the vocal mikes were under toned, but way to go bro. Few more concerts and you will have an album of ur own. The second band was way to good and only I can tell you that because I am the only few people who were still at the OAT. Even proffesors decided to bounce but not our knight - Proffesor Bannerjee. Who decided to finish this battle against boredom and unthankful gratitude and survived till the end.

Anyways if it was a movie like the one I mentioned before the proffesors may have enjoyed it, we may have brought 10 motorcycles to light the stage in place of laughing at the guy who managed to get one, we may have taken the pains and organized the event properly so that the stupid distortion guitars don't overtake the vocals, and I am pretty sure that we may have all stand up and took a bow before the whole faculties to show that whatever they are trying to do is worth to be treasured and in no way we can repay them for what they have endowed us with.

I may have done all that but here is a catch; why would we need the movies and fairy tales and stories and songs and operahs and poems and paintings. If we could be perfectionist then why would we need all these things....

I guess we won't
